Cargo Container Fumigation
Cargo containers are routinely fumigated to prevent weed, micro-organism and pest infestation. Fumigation chemicals are typically toxic in nature. Containers are fumigated at container ports and warehouses before being unloaded or shipped. Typical fumigation chemicals:
• Sulfuryl Fluoride; SO2F2, TWA 5ppm
• Phosphine; PH3; TWA 0.3ppm
• Methyl bromide; CH3Br; TWA 5ppm
