Methyl methacrylate

Methyl methacrylate is used in artificial joint replacement operations, and this volatile component needs to be monitored in order to avoid exposure of hospital staff.

Ethylene oxide measurements

Ethylene oxide is used for sterilization. While effective disinfectant, ethylene oxide is also very toxic and carcinogenic. The leak measurements from disinfection chambers are therefore critical measurements.

Anaesthetic Gases

Various anesthetic gases are used in hospitals. Gas measurements are performed in operation rooms or in gas storage areas to verify that anesthetic gases are not leaking. In addition, patients who are waking up from surgery are exhaling anesthetic gases in significant concentrations (several hundreds of ppm’s).
