Ambient Particulate Sampling

To assess the concentration of trace contamination in ambient air the material from a large volume of air must be collected efficiently on the appropriate media using a suitable sampling system.

Total Particulate, PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0, POPs, PAHs, Dioxins, Furans and radioactive substances are collected in this way.

Samples may be collected over a few hours, a day or several weeks and systems often also incorporate measurement of meteorological parameters.
