Carbon Capture

Capture of Carbon Dioxide followed by re-use or sequestration is a potential tool to combat global warning. Several alternative processes are the subject of pilot projects and these researchers need to measure the efficiency of CO2 capture and the purity of the CO2. A Gasmet FTIR analyser can provide online gas analysis measurements of CO2, the absorbing solution plus derivatives and contaminents. Analysis of 30 or more compounds simultaneously is feasible.
A significant benefit of the Gasmet system is that the control software can be used to identify unknown or unexpected chemicals that appear in the analysis. These new components can then be added to the application without the need for any instrument recalibration. Stored data can be re-analysed to include the additional data.
