Occupational Hygiene
Occupation hygiene involves the assessment of physical, chemical or
environmental hazards within the work place. Gas measurements are one of
the primary functions of an occupational hygienist for assessing workers
exposure to harmful airbourne compounds. Workplace exposure limits (WELs)
must not exceed those listed in EH40/2005; the legally binding document issued
under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Heath Regulations 2002.
