Continuous VOC Monitoring

FID's enable the measurement of total non-speciated VOC's and the Gasmet FTIR CEM Systems enable the measurement of speciated VOCs in stack emissions. Complex mixtures with 16 or more components are feasible. Process operators appreciate the fast response and low detection limits from analysers that are reliable, needing only power and nitrogen to operate.Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can be broadly described as being any organic chemical compound that vapourises under normal atmospheric conditions. Exact definitions vary between countries but VOCs are generally carbon based molecules. VOCs have wide ranging detrimental health and atmospheric effects therefore emissions to air and workplace concentrations require measurement.
