Palladium Alloy Thin Film

The H2scan patented sensor is based on a Palladium/Nickel Alloy with proprieary coatings that enables continuous operation in harsh contaminant environments. The sensor does not require the presence of Oxygen and can operate in Nitrogen and other inert gas backgrounds. The sensor works through the Palladium catalysing the H2 molecule into 2H atoms which are then absorbed into the Palladium/Alloy lattice creating changes which are measured by bulk resistivity over the concentration range of 0.4% to 100%. Between 15 ppm and 0.4% the concentration is measured by Charge Density. The sensor is highly specific with no cross sensitivity to combustible gases.
