Isokinetic Sampling
Emissions of particulates from combustion processes must be sampled to confirm compliance with permits. Sampling is carried out by process operators and test houses in accordance with standards, these require samples to be taken isokinetically, where the velocity through the sampling nozzle matches the velocity up the stack.
